Tamia Walker’s final state track and field meet was a busy one. The Caldwell County senior competed in three events and reached the medal podium in the 200-meter dash.
Walker’s time of 26.54 seconds was good for a fifth-place finish Friday at the Class 2A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington. Her time was also a season-best.
She finished 13th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.02 seconds.
Walker also competed in the long jump where she was 18th with a distance of 14-feet, 8-inches.
