The Lyon County Lyons defeated Owensboro Catholic 4-3 in eight innings Saturday to advance to the Elite 8 round of the state baseball tournament. A big part of the win was a good start in the first inning, and a big part of that was a two-run triple off the bat of Gunnar Bingham. Bingham talked about the hit and the Lyons moving on.
