Shoulders, Williams Named All-State Baseball Team

Two Lyon County players have been named to the All-State baseball team after voting by the state’s coaches.

Junior Jackson Shoulders was named to the Second Team, and fellow junior Brody Williams was named to the Third Team.

Shoulders set a Lyon County school record with 12 home runs.  He is batting .410 with 38 RBIs and 16 extra-base hits.

On the mound, Shoulders is 4-0 with a 2.75 ERA.  He has 19 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched.

Williams, who has committed to Kent State University, is hitting .385 with 10 homers and 38 runs knocked in.  He also has 12 doubles.

Lyon County looks to keep its season going Thursday when they play Whitley County in the state tournament quarterfinals in Lexington.
