Tate VanHooser’s Caldwell County baseball career has culminated with him being named to the Kentucky Baseball Coaches Association All-State Third Team.
VanHooser was among the region leaders in hitting with a .488 batting average. He had four homers and 33 RBIs. 15 of his 39 hits went for extra bases. He only struck out six times in 100 plate appearances.
On the mound, VanHooser was 1-0 with a 3.13 ERA. He struck out 19 batters in 15 innings pitched.
VanHooser has signed to play ball at Rend Lake College.
