After injury issues limited her to just six matches over her sophomore and junior seasons, Hopkinsville Lady Tiger soccer player Ana Hernandez has some good news to share. Hernandez recently committed to continue her education and athletic career at the University of Mary, in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Hernandez, who is a senior at Hopkinsville High School, did not see the field during her junior season, and was limited by an injury to six appearances in her sophomore season in 2019. Despite playing in just the six matches, Hernandez managed to score 10 goals.
During her freshman year in 2018, Hernandez appeared in 13 contests. She finished the year as the Lady Tigers’ leading scorer with 18 goals, and added six assists.
The University of Mary is an NCAA Division II school. The Marauders are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
