It has been an “historic” season for the Lyon County Lyons, and Thursday they added another chapter to the story. Behind a big pitching effort from Austin Long, the Lyons avenged an earlier loss to Whitley County in a 4-2 win, which moves the Lyons into the state baseball semifinals. Coach Ricky Baker says the Lyons believed they had this kind of run somewhere inside them.
