
A longtime assistant under Jeff Doom, Lyon County girls basketball coach Dawn Cotham got to see what’s now her team in action for the first time on Tuesday, during live sessions at Rechelle Turner’s Murray State women’s basketball camp at the CFSB Center in Murray.
The Lady Lyons finished 17-8 last season before being upset on a buzzer-beater from Trigg County in the Fifth District semifinals, but expectations are high. A lot of talent returns, including All-Pennyrile forward and star softball infielder Calista Collins — who’s returning for another senior year under SB 128.
