Defending state champion Macey Brown got a look at the course the region tournament will be played at this fall as part of the GO Junior Series.
The Apollo senior shot a 1-under 70 at the Madisonville Country Club to win the girls’ event by four shots over Madisonville High’s Katherine Weir. Holly Holton of Daviess County was third with a 79.
Brown, who has committed to Indianapolis University, enters her senior season as the defending region and state golf champion.
Christian County High’s Riley Johnson finished in fifth place with a round of 100, four shots ahead of her sister Alexis.
