Lyon County saw its lengthy postseason run come to an end on Friday night, but not before the team threatened No. 1-ranked Louisville Trinity before suffering a 10-3 decision in the state semifinals in Lexington.
Battling the Shamrocks to a 0-0 draw through four innings, the Lyons saw Trinity score six times in the top of the fifth inning on the way to the win.
