Kaelyn Conger is among four Lyon County Lady Lyons to be honored by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association. Conger is among the players named to the 2021 Class 1A All-State Second Team.
During her senior season, Conger played a big role inside the circle as the Lady Lyons reached the 2nd Region semifinals and her pitching helped to lead Lyon County to the 2021 All A state championship. The Lady Lyons finished the year with a record of 26-10.
Conger appeared in 25 games as a pitcher over the season. She finished with a record of 17-4 and an ERA of 3.17. Conger had 177 strikeouts in 130 1/3 innings pitched.
At the plate, Conger hit .403 for the year. She added four home runs and 33 RBIs.
Congers’ teammates Calista Collins and Sydney Melton were named to the first team, while Katelyn Dykes was named to the second team by the state’s softball coaches.
