Mary Browder Howell brought home a top-10 finish at the Kentucky Girls’ Junior Amateur Golf Tournament Friday.
The Murray High alum waivered a bit in Friday’s second round but finished at 12-over-par to finish tied for ninth place.
She opened with a 3-over par 75 Thursday with a round that included four birdies. In Friday’s final round at the Bardstown Country Club, Howell was bothered by three double-bogeys and finished with an 81.
Claira Beth Ramsey of Richmond won the tournament by two shots with a two-over 146.
