Grant Puckett was on his way to a solo win at the Kentucky Junior PGA stop at the Bowling Green Country Club Monday. He instead finished tied for the top spot.
The Webster County High School alum and Brescia University signee was even par through 16 holes. A double-bogey on No. 16 and another on No. 18 saw him finish at 4-over and tied with Blankenship for the top spot.
The Allen County-Scottsville junior birdied No. 18 to force the tie and claim the win on a scorecard playoff.
Blankenship finished his round with three birdies, one more than Puckett.
