Former Lyon County All-State pitcher Sophie Bingham is transferring to Georgetown College to continue her softball career.
Bingham, who originally committed to Georgetown before landing at Murray State University, will have three years of eligibility if she chooses.
She totaled 1,065 strikeouts in her pitching career that included a 19-strikeout game in the district tournament.
The 2018 graduate of Lyon County was a five-time all-district selection and four-time all-region selection. She was named first-team all-state twice in her career.
