Just because Kentucky is still looking to add to its 2021-22 basketball roster does not mean that John Calipari and his staff are not busy looking after the future, too. Calipari just extended a scholarship offer to a third rising junior. This time it is Canadian guard Elijah Fisher that got the offer to go with ones that five-star Wing JJ Taylor and the five-star center Jalen Lewis got in June.

Fisher is a 6-6, 195-pound shooting guard who is a consensus top-five player in the 2023 recruiting class. He has made it clear he likes the UK program because of its history of putting players into the NBA.

He could also be a player who may reclassify to the 2022 recruiting class.

Fisher has close to 20 scholarship offers already including Syracuse, Florida, Kansas, West Virginia, Texas A&M, and Mississippi.

Fisher, 17, plays for Crestwood Preparatory College in Toronto and recently competed with Canada in the FIBA Under 19 World Cup. Last season he averaged 30 points and 14 rebounds per game for Crestwood.

He’s also writing an exclusive blog for SI All-American that includes details about his recruitment.
