A pair of western Kentucky golfers brought home top 10 finishes in Alabama with Marshall County eighth-grader Trinity Beth bringing home the top spot.
Beth shot a 4-under par 68 in the first round of the American Junior Golf Association All-Star event in Opelika, Alabama. She made that first-round score hold up with two rounds at par Thursday and Friday to win the three-day event by five shots. It’s her first AJGA win.
Beth’s opening round included six birdies and two bogeys on the par-72 Grand National-Lake Course.
McCracken County eighth-grader Madison Glisson finished tied for tenth place at 10-over par. She opened with a 3-over 75 and concluded her third round with a 2-over 74.
