Megan Hertter shot a tournament-low round and rallied for a second-place finish Saturday at the Hurricane Junior Golf Series Summer College Prep Tournament in Lexington.
The Marshall County senior shot a 4-under 68 in Saturday’s second round at the University Club of Lexington. Hertter birdied four of the final seven holes to come in with a 33.
She finished one shot behind Macie Brown of Mt. Washington who shot a 3-under 69 in the first round and finished at 2-under for the tournament.
Graves County senior Ellie West finished third at 6-over. After an opening-round 76, she carded a 2-over 74 Saturday.
South Warren freshman Sydney McClanahan came in fourth place at 9-over, improving three shots Saturday to finish with a 3-over 75.
