The Full County Rhythm has been the best team in the Ohio Valley League through most of their first season. Tuesday night, the Hoptown Hoppers went on the road south of the border and made a statement of their own.

The Hoppers pounded out eight runs over the final three innings as Hoptown took down Full Count 11-3.

Leading 3-1 going into the top of the seventh, the Hoppers scored three runs to extend the lead to 6-1. The damage in the inning was done on a three-run blast off the bat of Kurt Paldino.

After Full Count got a pair of the runs back in the bottom of the 8th, the Hoppers sealed the win with a five-run ninth inning. The Rhythm was their own worst enemy in the inning, giving the Hoppers a dropped third strike, a walk, and an error to open the inning.

Add in another walk, a hit batter, and another error, and the wheels came completely off the wagon for Full Count as the Hoppers blew the game open.

Landon Choboy continued his blazing hot hitting as of late, going 2-5 with 3 RBIs and two runs scored. Kurt Paldino finished the game going 2-4 with a home run, 5 RBIs, and a run scored.

Colby Downard got the start for the Hoppers, going seven innings, giving up just one earned run on seven hits, striking out six, and walking one.
