According to one preseason ranking, the boys’ cross country team from Dawson Springs High School is heading into the 2021 season as one of the best in the state. The Panthers are ranked 7th in the Class A cross country rankings that were released Friday by KYtrackXC.
The rankings are compiled based on the best times from 2020 from returning runners on each of the teams.
The Top 10 boys teams in the preseason rankings are:
1 – St. Henry
2 – Bishop Brossart
3 – Villa Madonna
4 – Augusta
5 – Louisville Collegiate
6 – Trimble County
7 – Dawson Springs
8 – Bethlehem
9 – Sayre
10 – Beechwood
The top returning runners for the Panthers in the rankings are Ethan Osborne, who is ranked 37th, Lucas Osborne, ranked 38th, Tyler Hale, who is ranked 68th, and Yosiyah McCune, who is also ranked in the Top 100 at 80th.
