Boys and girls teams from Fort Campbell High School are both ranked in the Top 20 in preseason cross country rankings in Class A released Friday by KYtrackXC. The rankings are compiled based on the best times from 2020 from returning runners on each of the teams.
On the girls’ side, the Lady Falcons were ranked 20th headed into the 2021 season. They had two runners ranked in the Top 100 entering the season, based on last year’s best time. Emma Cogbill had a preseason rank of 47th, while Alexandra Stearns was ranked 92nd.
In the preseason boys rankings, the cross country Falcons came in at 18th. The top returning runners for the Falcons are Grant Shrader, who is ranked 47th, and Landen Rhodd.
