Caldwell County freshman Collin Whittington shot his best round ever in high school competition on Saturday, carding a 6-over-par 78 in the Madisonville-North Hopkins Invitational at Lakeshore Country Club.
Whittington shot 38 on the front nine holes and 40 on the back nine.
He said his approach was to aim for the middle of the greens.
