It was a big day on the course Monday for Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Kaitlyn Zieba. Zieba took home a third-place finish at the Lady Gator Invitational, one of the top early-season girls’ golf tournaments in the state, at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Zieba finished her round with a score of one over par 73. That score placed her two shots behind the medalist on the day, McCracken County’s Madison Glisson. Apollo’s Macey Brown finished in second place with an even-par round of 72.
Zieba’s effort helped lead her team to a third-place finish. Marshall County took first place, while Sacred Heart’s “A” team ended up in third place.
