The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons had three golfers finish in the Top 10 as they finished as runner-up Tuesday in the South Warren Lady Spartan Invitational in Bowling Green. The Lady Maroons shot a team total of 306 to gain the second-place finish.
However, the day belonged to the Marshall County Lady Marshals, who cruised to 1st place by an astounding 21 shots, with a team score of 285. Bowling Green “A” took third place, 43 shots behind Madisonville-North Hopkins.
Individually, Marshall County’s Trinity Beth scorched the course, shooting a 5-under par 65 to easily take medalist honors. Her teammate Megan Hertter was six shots back at 71 to finish in second. Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Karra Tucker was third with a 72.
Kaitlyn Zieba was in a tie for 4th with a score of 73. The Lady Maroons’ Katherine Weir finished in 10th place with a score of 78.
