Landon Hunt’s round of 75 stood tall for several hours Tuesday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club. At the end of the day, the Christian County eighth-grader brought home a third place finish and finished two shots off the lead.
Hunt got off to a rocky start at 4-over par after his first three holes but bounced back to shoot 2-under on his next nine holes. He finished with a 38 on the back nine.
Houston George shot an 85 to finish tied for 27th place.
Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds shot a 2-over 73 to claim first place, one shot ahead of Madisonville’s Jackson Hill.
