Kendric Adams has been in the starting lineup for two sports at Trigg County since his freshman year and looks to leave his mark on both by the time he graduates.

Adams has moved around on defense in the past two seasons, playing both linebacker and defensive end.  He led the Wildcats in total tackles as both a freshman and junior and enters his senior season three sacks away from tying Jason Wilson’s school record of 17 career sacks.

He added another role last year, leading the team with 611 rushing yards and adding seven touchdowns.

Once football season ends, Adams will hit the hardwood and should reach the 1,000-point career milestone before Christmas. Adams has been a starter since his eighth-grade year and garnered All-District nods for the Wildcats.

But it appears football is where Adams will make his athletic future.

Adams has picked up two official college offers in the past week from Murray State and Eastern Kentucky following a junior season that saw him lead the Wildcats in tackles and tackles for loss.

Adams and the Wildcats open the 2021 football season on August 20 at Todd County Central.
