Caldwell County’s defense played well, especially early, against Owensboro Catholic in the first scrimmage of the season Friday night in Princeton.
But Caldwell’s offense is still struggling to find itself. The Tigers were held without a first down in the first half but trailed just 9-0 at the break.
Owensboro Catholic pulled away in the second half as both teams worked in their reserves. The final score overall was 36-6.
Your Sports Edge caught up with Caldwell head coach Will Barnes afterward.
