It didn’t come as any surprise that sisters Rheagan and Conlee Lindsey topped the University Heights Academy scorecard Friday at the Christian County Invitational. And anyone who has followed the sisters over the past few years isn’t surprised they were separated by one shot.
Conlee, a freshman, shot an 81 to finish in third place Friday at Western Hills Golf Course. Rheagan, a junior, shot an 82.
It’s gotten to be a running joke that one shot will separate the sisters on the scorecard. It’s happened three times already this year. And for the sister who finishes one shot back, it’s a joke that isn’t funny in a competitive sibling rivalry that fuels them both.
It was the second straight invitational where the Lady Blazers didn’t have the four golfers necessary for a team score. First-year golfer Lucy Wilkins continues to take her score lower, posting a round of 112.
