Lyon County’s Mineral Mound State Park golf course was officially christened “The Cullan” on Monday, in honor of native son Cullan Brown.
Brown, a standout golfer who spent many hours practicing at the golf course, died just over a year ago after being diagnosed with a form of bone cancer.
Brown was a state champion at Lyon County and earned All-SEC Freshman honors at the University of Kentucky before doctors discovered osteosarcoma in his left thigh.
Gov. Andy Beshear was on hand with members of the UK golf team as well as lots of family and friends.
