Lyon County’s Travis Perry has added his name to the list of All A Classic contenders from the First Region after a third-place finish Saturday at the Ballard Memorial Invitational.
Perry shot a 1-under 35 on the front nine of the Ballard Country Club and finished with an even-par round of 72.
The Lyon County sophomore finished four shots behind the winner, Rocco Zakutney of St. Mary, who is the All A favorite.
McCracken County’s Camryn Beatty finished second with a 69, and Paducah Tilghman’s Jack Butts tied with Perry for third place.
St. Mary showed they are also the team favorite to claim the All A region title as Palmer Sims finished fifth with a 74, one shot ahead of Viking teammate Luke Wilson.
Crittenden County’s Jeremiah Foster and Ballard Memorial’s Blaine Dowdy both shot a 75 to tie Wilson for sixth place.
