Laken White scored in the 58th minute as Caldwell County’s girls pulled out a 1-0 victory at Trigg County on Monday.
Because of heat, the match was shortened to two 30-minute halves. Each half included a water break at the midway point, so the teams essentially played four 15-minute quarters.
That means White’s tally came with about 2 minutes left in the contest.
Caldwell is still unbeaten all-time against Trigg, improving to 24-0-1 in the series between the two teams.
The Lady Tigers next visit Lyon County on Friday.
The Lady Wildcats will go to Crittenden County next Monday.
