The Graves County Eagles took a big early lead and then rolled on past Lyon County Thursday night in boys’ soccer action. After jumping out 5-0, the Eagles flew on to the 8-2 win to hand the Lyons their second loss of the season.
Lukas Sperry and Tim Taylor scored the two goals in the match for Lyon County.
Graves County got a big night from Eddie Romero. Romero finished the night with three goals. Conner Thomas added two more for the Eagles.
Ryan Hayden had two assists for Graves County. He was one of five players to garner an assist on the night, as the Eagles had assists on six of their eight goals.
After tough losses to Graves County and Henderson County to open the season, the Lyons will play their home opener Friday night. The Lyons will take on Caldwell County in the second game of the night in girls/boys doubleheader at Lee S. Jones Park.
