The Fort Campbell girls’ soccer team made its first appearance of the season on Tuesday night, with first-year coach Patricia Paschedag leading the Lady Falcons in an 8-2 loss to Crittenden County in the first round of the 2nd Region All-A tourney.
Paschedag knows her way around the 8th District after serving as the girls’ head coach at Christian County for two seasons in 2015-16.
After missing out on the 2020 season, the Lady Falcons’ start was delayed due to a lack of players this year. One of the few holdovers from the 2019 team, junior Abigail Eastes, found the back of the net off an assist from freshman Anna Allen, with the other goal provided by freshman Keelin Gray.
Raven Hayes and Taylor Guess led the attack for the Lady Rockets with a pair of goals each, followed by a goal and an assist for both Elizabeth Campbell and Leah Long.
Addyson Faughn and Jacey Frederick both scored and Lyli Wesmolan and Maggie Blazina each provided an assist. Joslyn Silcox earned the win in goal with seven saves.
Un next for the Lady Falcons is a visit from Fort Knox on Saturday, with Crittenden County hosting Caldwell County on Thursday.
