Tee times have been posted for the AIG Women’s Open, which will be played this week at historic Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.

Caldwell County High School grad Emma Talley will tee off in first round action Thursday at 11:10 a.m. in Scotland. With the 6-hour time difference, that’s 5:10 a.m. Thursday morning here in the central time zone.

Talley’s playing partners for the first two rounds will be Kylie Henry of Scotland and Cloe Frankish of England.

All of the groups will begin on the No. 1 tee box.

On Friday, Talley’s threesome has a 6:30 a.m. start time in Scotland. That’s 12:30 a.m. Central Daylight Time on Friday.

The AIG Women’s Open will crown the final major champion of the season. A field of 144 golfers will take to the famed links, located at the mouth of the Barry Burn on the coast of the North Sea.

The AIG Women’s Open has set a new benchmark for prize money in women’s golf with the announcement that the prize fund for this year’s Championship will increase by $1.3 million to $5.8 million with the winner earning $870,000.

With the support of title sponsor AIG, the largest prize fund in women’s Major Championship golf will increase by a further $1 million to no less than $6.8 million in 2022. This will more than double the prize fund from 2018 before AIG’s partnership with The R&A commenced.

Talley played in the Championship last year, tying for 64th and winning just over $8,200.

The AIG Women’s Open is the last of five major events on the LPGA Tour.
