The Lyon County girls’ soccer team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 7-1 victory over Union County on Thursday night. The win is the Lady Lyons’ second of the season over the Bravettes and moves their record to 3-1-1 overall.
The high-scoring duo of Rose Smith and Leah Schroeder did the damage again, with each netting a hat trick and Smith adding an assist. Both have already reached double-digit goals, combining for 24 of the team’s 26 for the season.
Anna White added her first goal of the season, Alice Smith provided two assists, and Mary Davis set up a goal as well. Maddie Russell made three saves in goal to earn the win.
The Lady Lyons hit the road for the third-straight match when they go to Morton’s Gap on Saturday to face the 2-2 Hopkins County Central Lady Storm.
