After being shut out in the All-A regional championship, the Lyon County Lady Lyons have gotten things rolling on the offensive end of the field. The Lady Lyons scored seven goals for the second consecutive match Saturday afternoon as they rolled past the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm 7-3 in Mortons Gap.
Anna White, Alice Smith, and Rose Smith each found the net two times for Lyon County. Leah Schroeder scored the other goal for the Lady Lyons. Rose Smith now has 16 for the season, while Leah Schroeder is also in double figures with 11.
Schroeder and Alice Smith had two assists each. Rose Smith, Mary Davis, and Avery White had one assist each for the victorious Lady Lyons.
In the net, Maddie Russell had eight saves for the day.
Lyon County improves to 4-1-1 on the season. Lyon County will host Crittenden County in a district matchup Monday night at 7:00 at Lee S. Jones Park.
