Lady Maroons Roll Past Hoptown in Straight Sets

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons have gotten on a bit of a roll. Hosting the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Tuesday night, the Lady Maroons cruised to their fifth straight win, taking the match in straight sets.

The Lady Maroons controlled the match from the very beginning, winning the opening set 25-12.

Madisonville kept things rolling in the second set, winning 25-7 to go up two sets to none. The Lady Maroons then closed out the match by taking the third set 25-13.

Madisonville moves to 6-2 on the season. In their six wins, the Lady Maroons have not dropped a set. Their two losses came over the weekend in the Apollo Summer Slamdown, where they fell to Green County and Ohio County.

The loss drops Hoptown to 2-6 on the year. The Lady Tigers are set to return to action Thursday night when they travel to Elkton to take on Todd County Central.
