With a long losing streak and a leg up in the 13th District at stake on Tuesday, the Todd County Central volleyball team had a valiant effort turned away by visiting Logan County 3-0.
The Lady Rebels’ wait for a first win over Logan County continues for at least another match as they slip to 2-2 overall. The Lady Cougars improve to 2-0 and have won all six sets they’ve played this season.
After struggling in a 10-25 loss in the opening set, Todd Central pushed Logan County in a 23-25 setback in the second. The teams battled back and forth in the third, with the Lady Cougars pulling out a 25-22 victory to move to 2-0 in district play.
Addileigh Wofford led Todd Central with 15 assists and Lucy Chester recorded nine kills.
The Lady Rebels will seek to get back above .500 when Hopkinsville makes its way to Elkton on Thursday. Logan County will be looking to stay perfect against district competition when Russellville visits next Tuesday.
