Todd County Central snapped a two-match skid with one of its best performances of the season with a convincing three-set win over Hopkinsville Thursday at Rebel Gym.
Todd Central won 25-13, 25-9, 25-6 in what was nearly a wire-to-wire win for all three sets.
The Lady Rebels moved out to a 17-7 advantage in the first set behind three aces from Lynnlee Jones. Hoptown got as close as 18-12 before Todd Central put the set away.
Lucy Chester was dominant in the second set victory for Todd County Central with nine of her 17 kills coming in the middle frame. Addileigh Wofford notched all three of her aces in the same set. She also finished with 29 assists.
Meredith Drummond served 16 straight points in the third set as Todd jumped ahead 20-2. Drummond had four aces during the run.
Lanie Bivins chipped in with six aces and six kills, and Jones had seven kills and four aces.
Hailey Hallmark had three kills and two digs for Hoptown, and Rilee Joiner added three assists.
Hoptown fell to 2-7 and will host Hopkins County Central Tuesday.
Todd County Central moved to 3-2 ahead of its Tuesday district match at Franklin-Simpson.
