The Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball team had to go five sets at Webster County before escaping with a 3-2 win on Thursday. Those scores were 25-18, 18-25, 25-20, 8-25, 17-15.
Adi Sullenger had 29 set assists, 14 digs, seven aces and three kills to lead Caldwell. Savannah Scott added a team-high eight kills while Mary Tays had 34 digs and two kills.
The Lady Tigers also got six kills from Brylee Butts and five kills from Kynady Thomas. Katie Menser had three kills. Lily Hoard recorded two kills and five digs.
Kyndra Winters added 17 digs while Claire Knoth had nine digs and Maggy Griggs seven digs.
Caldwell’s girls are 3-0 heading into the 2nd Region All A Classic Saturday at University Heights Academy.
The Lady Tigers will take on Crittenden County at 3:30 in a semifinal match. With a win there, Caldwell would face either UHA or Livingston Central in the championship match at 5:30.
The Lady Tigers have won the Class A regional volleyball tournament every year they have been eligible, claiming the championship 11 times.
