
Allison Wood became the first Hopkinsville High runner to complete a 5K run under 20 minutes Saturday, establishing a new school record at the Warren East Raider Twilight Run.
Wood covered the 3.1-mile course in 19:59 to finish in seventh place. Her time Saturday eclipsed her own previous school record run of 20:13 set two years ago.
Lauren Mayes also brought home a top-20 finish for the Lady Tigers. The eighth-grader ran a 21:32 to finish in 20th place.
Evelyn Bangart finished in 78th place with a time of 26:11 followed by Eva Blankenberger in 99th place in 27:51.
Justice Wright finished in 110th place followed by Emily Bridges in 126th and Hailey Cordero in 138th place.
As a team, Hopkinsville finished in 11th place out of 18 teams with 282 points.
