Several area players are represented among the state girls’ soccer statistical leaders here early in the season. The stat list was released early Wednesday morning by the KHSAA.
Lyon County’s Rose Smith is among the top scorers in the state. As of the reporting period, she has 26 goals on the season, placing her third, just three behind the state’s leader, Anna Burchett, of Prestonsburg. Camryn LaGrange, of Madisonville-North Hopkins is eighth with 19 goals.
LaGrange’s teammate Raelynn Blanford is 24th with 13 goals. Lyon County’s Leah Schroeder ranks 29th with 12 goals.
Camryn LaGrange leads the state in assists with 17. Alice Smith, of Lyon County, ranks second with 15. Lillie Carman, of Madisonville-North Hopkins, is 16th while Lyon County’s Rose Smith comes in 18th.
Rose Smith is second in the state in total points, which combines goals and assists. Camryn LaGrange ranks fifth. Lyon County’s Leah Schroeder and Alice Smith are back-to-back in 28th and 29th.
Lyon County keeper Maddie Russell ranks 8th in the state in total saves with 97.
