The Lyon County Lady Lyons have a new all-time leading goal scorer.
Senior Rose Smith scored four times in Thursday’s 8-0 win at Webster County, giving her 123 goals. That breaks the old mark of 119, set by Jill P’Poole from 2010-13.
Smith also had two assists in the win over the Lady Trojans. For the season, Smith has tallied 30 goals and dished out 10 assists to help the Lady Lyons built an 8-1-1 record.
Alice Smith added two goals and an assist at Webster while Leah Schroeder had two goals. Anna White added a helper.
Maddie Russell recorded 11 saves to pick up the shutout in the net.
Webster is now 1-5 while Lyon has won six straight.
