Caldwell County Takes 6th Place at 2021 wReck at the Plex

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers capped off their weekend at the wReck at the Plex with a straight-set loss to the Todd Central Lady Rebels in the 5th place game of the tournament. The Lady Rebels controlled the match from beginning to end, taking the first set 25-13 and then finishing the sweep with a 25-12 win in the second set.

Pool play began Friday evening for the Lady Tigers with a pair of tough losses.

Caldwell County opened play against Christian Community, from White House, Tennessee. The Lady Colts cruised through the first set 25-11. Caldwell County rebounded to take the 2nd set 25-19. Christian Community then closed out the match, taking the third set 15-6.

The Lady Tigers were back on the court later Friday evening to take on Christian Fellowship. The Lady Eagles took the match in two hard-fought sets. The Lady Eagles took the opener 25-21 and the closed out the match with a 27-26 win in the second set.

Caldwell County continued pool play Saturday morning against Trigg County. The Lady Tigers controlled the match from beginning to end, taking the sweep by scores of 25-7 and 25-7.

The Lady Tigers then closed out pool play with a battle against 2nd Region newcomer Heritage Christian. Caldwell County took the match in two toughly contested sets, winning the first 26-24 and then closing out the match 25-22.

With their 2-2 finish in pool play, the Lady Tigers were then paired up against Todd County Central in the 5th place game.
