Madisonville put three golfers in the top 11 and brought home a second-place finish Saturday at the Marshall County Invitational played at the Calvert City Golf and Country Club.
Karra Tucker had the low score for the Lady Maroons. She shot a 2-over par 74 to finish in fourth place. Tucker went out at 2-over par, but six pars and a birdie on the back nine saw her some in at 36.
Kaitlyn Zieba shot a 6-over 78 to finish in 10th place. Kat Weir was one shot back in 11th place.
Sydney Browning rounded out the Lady Maroon scoring with an 84 to finish just outside the top 20. Stella Knight shot a 98. Gracie Riddle played in the event as an individual and shot a 103.
Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown shot a 5-under 67 to take medalist honors. She finished three shots ahead of second-place Trinity Beth of Marshall County.
Madisonville’s team score of 315 was second to the Lady Marshals who claimed the title with a 303 on their home course.
