Heritage Christian Academy’s defense has been strong in the early part of the 2021 soccer season. Coach Clint Willis is looking for some goals to complement it.
HCA played to a scoreless tie with Assumption Friday in a battle of two teams ranked at the top of the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association Power Poll.
“I was very happy with how we played. We had several shots on goal but could not finish,” Willis said.
HCA’s defensive unit held the 2019 KCAA state champs to two shots on goal.
Assumption came into the week as the No. 1 team in the KCAA Power Poll. HCA was No. 2.
The Warriors are now 1-0-1 and will travel to No. 6 Cornerstone Saturday.
