Early on in the match, it looked as if the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers were set to make a long night of it. The Lady Colonels rallied, outscoring the Lady Tigers 14-7 to take a 22-20 lead. Christian County would go on to take the opening set 25-22.
Hailey Sparks had four kills in the set while Camryn Armstrong added three more.
With Sparks and Armstrong leading the way on the attack, Christian County took an early 6-3 lead in the second set. Holding a 16-13 lead later in the set, the Lady Colonels put the pedal down and outscored the Lady Tigers 9-3 over the rest of the set to win 25-16 and go up 2-0 in the match.
Christian County opened the third set with a 6-1 run and appeared to be ready to run away and hide. Hoptown battled back to get as close as two points at 17-15. The Lady Tigers got strong play from Aloria Moyd during their run to get back in the set. However, on this night, the Lady Colonels would not be denied, as they closed out the set 8-2 to complete the three-set sweep.
Hailey Sparks finished the night with 13 kills and 3 service aces. Camryn Armstrong added 9 kills and 2 blocks. NeVaeh Day had six kills and three blocks. Queinasia Henry added two kills of her own. Chantelle Haby set the table nicely for her teammates with 25 assists.
