Ava Colburn’s career-low score was one of the factors that helped the University Heights Academy girls’ golf team finish fifth Saturday at the All A Classic State Golf Tournament.
Colburn’s round of 95 included a 44 on the back nine, which was the first nine holes she played at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond. Her score was good for 37th place.
Conlee Lindsey shot an 18-over-par 90 that included a 43 on the back nine. She finished 27th.
Rheagan Lindsey shot a 93 to finish in 36th place, and Lucy Wilkins’ round of 128 saw her finish 68th.
Glasgow’s Nina McMurtrey shot even par to win the individual title by two shots.
Lexington Christian won the team title at 31-over par, taking a 10-shot win over Glasgow. First region champ Murray was fourth.
