Hopkinsville’s Allison Wood finishing 1st in a cross country meet is becoming a regular occurrence during the 2021 season. And, it happened again Saturday. Wood took 1st place in the girls’ division of the Mater Dei Invite in Evansville.
She finished her race with a time of 20:26.8. That time was more than a minute faster than that of Abrielle Richard, of Evansville Christian School.
The Lady Tigers had two other runners take Top 10 finishes on the day. Lauren Mayes finished in 4th place with a time of 22:18.9. Rebecca Wood finished 10th with a time of 23:52.0.
Other Hopkinsville runners at Mater Dei were:
Kaydon Coates – 24:16.6 – 13th place
Justice Wright – 26:05.9 – 20th place
Jessie Creamer – 27:55.5 – 29th place
In the boys’ race for the Hopkinsville Tigers, Jonathan Bridges took 31st place with a time of 22:13.4, while Savior Schaal finished 33rd with a time of 22:35.7.
