Lady Rebels Sweep Matches at Caldwell County

Caldwell County ran out to an early lead in the first set. But much of the rest of the day belonged to Todd County Central.

The Lady Rebels swept a pair of 3-0 decisions Saturday in Princeton, claiming the first match 25-20, 25-10, 25-15 before prevailing in match two 25-19, 25-10, 25-13.

It was Todd’s third win over the defending 2nd Region champions in eight days. The Lady Rebels also grabbed a 25-13, 25-12 triumph in the wRECk @ The Plex in Hopkinsville the previous week.

For Caldwell, Lily Hoard had six kills and three digs in the opening match. Adison Sullenger recorded 11 set assists, seven digs and two aces.

Savannah Scott had four kills, two digs and two aces for the Lady Tigers while Mary Tays had two kills to go with a team-high 13 digs.

Kynady Thomas and Brylee Butts each had two kills for Caldwell. Kyndra Winters had a kill and eight digs while Maggy Griggs added six digs.

Todd stats were not available.

In match two, Sullenger tallied 18 set assists, two kills and two digs. Ellie Ramey had three kills while Butts had two kills, two digs and a block. Katie Menser had two kills and a block for Caldwell.

Scott also had two kills. Tays again topped the team with 12 digs. Winters had a kill and eight digs.

Todd stats were not available.

The Lady Rebels are now 10-4. They will be on the road again on Monday at Muhlenberg County.

The Lady Tigers are 8-5. They will next host Crittenden County on Tuesday.
