Collin Whittington got off to a strong start at the All A Classic Golf Tournament and carried it to a Top 25 finish at Gibson Bay Golf Course in Richmond.
The Caldwell County freshman shot a 1-over-par 37 on the front nine of the narrow and hilly terrain. His first nine holes included two birdies.
Whittington scuffled a bit on the back nine and was able to grind out a 44.
His round of 81 was good for a tie for 25th place.
Lexington Christian Academy’s McKean Collins shot a 4-under 68 to take first place. However, nine golfers’ scores were not included in the final results released by the All A Classic.
