With LaRue County entering COVID protocol and Trigg County unable to find a suitable opponent in time, this Friday will now become Trigg’s bye week for football.

The Wildcats were originally scheduled to host LaRue County Friday and have September 24 as a bye week.  However, their bye week will now be this Friday.

Trigg County’s October 8 home game with Fulton County will now be played on September 24. That opens up Oct. 8 on the schedule.  Trigg will be looking to fill that week with a game in the coming weeks.

The September 24 game with Fulton County will be the home opener for the Wildcats, who are 2-2 after last week’s win at Fort Campbell.  It will be the latest home opener for a Trigg County football team since 1948.  That season didn’t begin until Sept. 17.  Trigg County lost to Morganfield 25-0 on Oct. 1, 1948, in what was the first home night game in school history
